What are the pros and cons of the swine flu shot for my 2 year old?
January 29th, 2010 | by admin |polly asked:
I am scared about the fall season coming upon us and thus the flu season coming. I am very worried about the swine flu as anyone under 5 will probably not survive it. I have heard the swine flu shot will be more harmful than good because of the mercury content as well as other bad ingredients in it. I have also heard it will bring on flu-like symptoms.
I mean I can’t quarantine my child at home so it’s so scary!

The shot should be safe for your tot. While bad reactions to any vaccination are possible, they are actually quite rare.
As for mercury and other bad news, the doses for young children will not contain any mercury at all (mercury is an ingredient in thimerosol, a preservative used to keep the vaccine from going bad).
Thimerosol will be used in some formulations, specifically in multi-dose vials meant for use on adults; but all single dose vials and the nasal formulation will not have any thimerosol.
As for “all under five dying”… This is not true, either. It is impossible to say if your child got sick if it would be serious or mild; but if there are no other underlying health problems, chances are it will be nothing more than a bad cold.
That said, if this were my child, I would absolutely get the vaccine.
Cheers!

I suggest you quarantine your child. I know I would.

Will you ask your doctor to fill this out BEFORE he gives you or your child a Vaccine?
With all the Vaccine concerns these days, I was wondering if anyone is willing to hold their Physician accountable for the Vaccines that they administer?
Consent for Administration of Vaccination
Did you know that no matter what the outcome of a Vaccine, NOBODY is responsible except for the parents?
There are laws in place that protect EVERYONE right down to the Manufacturer against ANY and ALL liabilities concerning Vaccines.
Can you afford this? Can you afford to care for a child that gets an acute curable illness? You probably can though it might be a little inconvenient.
Should your child have an adverse reaction, are you emotionally and financially prepared to care for a child with a LIFETIME of disabilities FOREVER ?
Well, this indeed is something to think about BEFORE you get in line for that shot.

I recomend not giving your child the shot. Swine flu is spreading quickly but causes a lot less deaths then regular seasonal influenza. The shot is being rushed through testing so it may have bad reactions. When I got the regular flu shot last year I basically felt like I had the flu for 2 days. I think this shot will have some of the same effects but could also have some new worse effects.
